HW1: BACKGROUND OF THE SURVEY

My research paper is all about badminton and basketball but is more focus on how badminton can be as popular as basketball as a sport. This research paper can help people understand the true meaning of badminton in the minds of many badminton enthusiasts that makes the sports popular. It can help regular people to know and understand about badminton itself and can give them the knowledge that badminton can be as popular as basketball. This research paper that I am doing has three parts and I had done the 1st part which is the introduction.So far I researched about badminton and basketball alike. And I realized that basketball is a hit here in the Philippines because Filipinos embraced the American culture so much that made them love basketball. For badminton, it's a slow rising sport here in the Philippines because some people can't appreciate the beauty of badminton.

In order for chapter 2 to start, I have some questions regarding the 2 said sports which is badminton and basketball. These are all simple questions that can be answered by and average person in their own point of view and from a professional who knows sports well.

• What do you think about badminton?
• What do you think about basketball?
• Do badminton and basketball have the same aspects in terms of the sports itself? What is that?
• What do you think about badminton being as popular as basketball?
• What if badminton was introduced first here in the Philippines, do you think that it's more popular than basketball?

The above question were formulated to have new knowledge for my research paper. This questions are intended for average people, enthusiasts and even professional players and coaches. I intend to ask these questions because I want to know each and everyone who answers these questions their perspectives and their point of view regarding to badminton and basketball. This questions will help me accomplished this research paper in a more solid and concrete knowledge.

As I know about their perspectives and point of views, I think that these survey question will have a positive outcome will give me solid and concrete knowledge about what they think to the said sports. This knowledge will be used in my research paper to further know how can badminton can be as popular as basketball as a sport.  After finishing this survey, the knowledge that I got will be a solid and concrete evidence that will help my research paper a lot.
